The French section at U.T. offers no direct scholarships, although we do award small cash prizes to our best students at the end of every year. We also encourage students to apply for scholarships and grants through the French Embassy.

There are two very popular programs that provide a year in France teaching English (on salary with the French government) as an assistant(e) d'anglais; our students have great success with these applications:

  1. The first is through the Fulbright Program. For help with your application, go to the Office of Undergraduate Scholarships and Fellowships.
  2. The second is through the French government.

The Alliance Fran├žaise of Nashville also offers several assistantship positions teaching English in Deauville.
